Remove the password from your own PDF
If you set a password on a PDF months ago and now find yourself prompted for it on every open, removing that protection — once you have entered the password correctly — is reasonable. This tool decrypts a PDF whose password you already know, and saves a clean copy with no password attached.
Like everything else on PDFSamurai, the operation is local. You provide the password, the document is decrypted inside your browser, and the new file is offered to you as a download.
What this tool will not do
We will not, and cannot, bypass a password you do not know. PDFSamurai is a productivity tool, not a credential-breaking service. If you have lost access to a document, the only legitimate path is to contact whoever issued it.
Frequently asked questions
- No. We only re-save your PDF without protection when you provide the correct password. Cracking files is not something we do.
